I don't think its your burner at all please post the fab log files.

Go to documents, fab program, look for log files, then open them their you find burn and internal files you cut and paste these files to note pad.Cut and paste the latest files that you had trouble with not all of them do this for the burn file also and post them here in a post using cut and paste.

These files will tell us exactly what you did. Then we will look at them and see where you went wrong or if theirs a error or a bug in the fab program.

Try virtual drive load the reduced fab iso into virtual drive then use the fab burner in bluray copy but post the log files first so we can see what steps you took exactly.

    Glenns,

Yes I use DVDFab to burn the compressed image to disk. I even went as far as to remove all other burning programs from the HD just in case they were causing contention. I also verified that the burn engine in fab is set to DVDFab burning engine.

I'm wondering now if there is a comparability issues between my Blu-ray burner and fab when burning 3D images to disc. I'm using the LG WH14NS40

Enduser9999 When you put the movie back into fab that was reduced by fab from 50 gigs to 25 gigs or less did you use fab to burn the 3d file to disk?
If not you must use fab to burn the disk like this.

Open fab version 8 blu ray 3d copy, scroll down to write data, put in your fab reduced to 25 gig 3d movie then hit start and this will keep the 3d files in the burned movie.

In version 9 of fab open fab blu ray copy then select burn put the movie in and burn the disk.

P.S. Fab burner must be selected in the fab softwear settings.

Have you tried installing the K-Lite Codec Pack. This solved a lot of audio video headaches for me.

OK this is what I found out so far...

I installed a power DVD viewer program that lets me view Blu-ray discs directly on the PC monitor without any issues. Since my Blu-ray burner supports 3D playback and record, I can confirm on the computer monitor screen that the original video is in fact playing in 3D.

I copied the original disc using the folder and iso methods directly to the HD without compression and I can confirm that both the saved folder and iso images play back in 3D!

I then compressed the above iso image to BD25 size and saved that image back to another folder on the HD and when I played the compressed iso image directly from the HD folder, it is in fact 3D!

I'm now compressing the folder image to BD25 and will report the results.

    >>> I can see now that the problem occurs when DVDFab burns the compressed image back on to the Blu-ray disc, this step is where the 3D image fails to copy on to the Blu-ray disc.

Trickster:Ok i am glad i got your 3d problem solved now as to the audio dropping out only on main movie and not full disk iso's some things to try when you get home.

Try playing the main movie on a software player on your computer their are free ones like Nvidia 3d vision video player you can download from the Internet just to try to play the main movie hd sound to see if it plays on the computer soft wear player with out the sound dropping out.Even if you just play the regular blu ray non 3d part of the 3d movie it will tell you if the media player is at fault. If you are streaming the output over a network to your tv that can bring up other problems so use hdmi for best results.

Also make sure your cloning the store brought disk to hard drive using fab.

@ ENDUSER9999 - No I haven't compressed any disk images as I want to keep 1:1 sound/audio quality. I just make 3d .iso main movie to remove unwanted audio tracks.

*@ Glenns - As regards my cables and AV receiver, they are all 1.4 compliant. My FW on the media player is always the latest . HD audio output is set to raw.My mediaplayer can play DTS-HD/TRUE-HD fine on my full disk backups (3d.iso format) Im just having the following problem.*

Basically what is happening is this...

.*The full 3d .iso rip of my Avatar disk plays back fine in the mediaplayer, all audio tracks work fine inc English DTS-HD.The Main Movie 3d .iso backup I made with Dvdfab which ONLY contains English DTS-HD audio, the video is fine which plays in 3D (that problem solved thank you !!) but the audio keeps dropping out every few minutes - by that i mean audio disappears & I have to stop and restart the movie to get audio back.As mentioned though it could be a problem with the HiMedia 900b mediaplayer, but its odd how the untouched full .iso is fine, yet the main movie backup done by Fab gives me those issues.*

I need to investigate this further with some more tests which I can do later in the week when im back at home.

enduser9999 on't make copies from disks please do this:

Step #1 Use fab blu-ray copy in it use clone disk 50 gigs clone to hard drive takes 40-60 mins. when done close fab.

Step #2 Now you have a cloned copy with the 3d files in it take it put it in dvd virtual drive (a free fab program download it from the main fab page) open Fab once you put the file in virtual drive choice main movie virtual drive will load into the fab program with the loaded movie in a few seconds take out any soundtracks you don't want if you want to compress to 25 gig check that box
(you can also choice full disk if that's what you want) then click on next on the next page is the 3d settings they are already pre checked to make a 3d copy if their not make sure their checked. Then because your making disks theirs no changing the output (The other guy i am helping is putting the made file on his media players hard drive your making disks so the output is your hard drive where you should now have a 25 gig blank disk in the drive)

Next step is to hit the start button fab will now make a temporary file with the main movie compressed to 25 gig and without the soundtracks you didn't want. After hours of compressing when the program is done it will burn the disk for you.You must have the dvd fab burner selected in settings for the disk to come out in 3d.

Trickster:If all your cables are 1.4 and you are using hdmi as the audio out as that's the only one for hd sound then check your media players audio settings their should be the choice of raw and Lcpm make sure you have the right one selected for your receivers decoding and that your firmware is the latest for your media player.I also noted in your log file your using a old version of dvd fab we are using version 9.0.2.0 so upgrade that as well theirs a lot of improvements in the new fab program.

So now your saying you got 3d from a full disk iso to play in 3d on your media player right? doe's it also have dts hd master sound? because if it does then you know the cables can carry the 3d and dts master sound and your problem is now with a few blu rays that are main movie 3d dts master sound correct? Do you have any that are on your media players drive that are main movie dts master that play in 3d? The more info you provide the better.Did you use the fab program to clone the store brought dvd's that your having trouble with?

Trickster:Looking at your media players requirements you must have 1.4 hdmi everywhere when using with 3d so are all your wires hdmi 1.4 high speed? same if hooked through a receiver and from receiver to tv If not that can be the reason for audio dropouts as theirs a whole lot of info going through the wires for 3d with hd audio and high bandwidth video at the same time.

@ Glenns, im making 3D isos but my Mediaplayer plays either (Himedia 900b)

    However.......

Based on fengtao info and Glenns a few posts ago I can confirm the following....

The disk needs to be ripped initially by Dvdfab and then a 3D mainmovie only backup to .iso WILL play back in 3D.

If the disk was ripped with Any (like i did initially), the 3D mainmovie only backup to .iso will NOT play back in 3D.

So Dvdfab NEEDS to rip the disk first as glenn and fengtao.

Ive got an issue now with a couple of my 3d main movie backups, where i have removed all audio tracks, just keeping Eng DTS HD, where the audio keeps dropping out intermittently.
    The full rip works fine.
This issue could be my Mediaplayers though (cant think why thou)

Here is what I did, but still no 3D disc at the end. I have also used the .ISO method but no 3D is produced just 2D

    1. Load Blu-ray burner drive (E:\) with 3D movie [RED_BIRD_3D_WW]
    2. Start DVDFab
    3. Select the region, Blu-ray disc scans
    4. Checked in settings DVD / Blu-ray, Write, Burning Engine set to DVDFab Burning Engine
    5. Select Blu-ray Copy, Main Movie
    6. Source drive: Blu-ray drive with [RED_BIRD_3D_WW]
    7. Target: C:\2Temp
    8. How to copy Blu-ray 3D > Copy as Blu-ray 3D
    9. Disk size: BD50 100% no compression
    10. After movie is saved, go to and select Source:> C:\2Temp\Main Movie\RED_BIRD_3D_WW
    11. Target: C:\3Temp
    12. Disc Size: BD25 1080p/i size is reduced from 42.955 GB to 22.461 GB
    12. When process is complete select Source: C:\3Temp\MainMovie\RED_BIRD_3D_WW
    13. Target: E:\
    14. Disc Size: BD25
    15. Movie burns without issues but when played on 3D Blu-ray player there is no 3D image on the disc.
