3D Copy Speeding up Blu-Ray Copy - Compression

Hi all. Newbie here. Looking for ways to speed up my 3D Blu-Ray copying times. Currently using an AMD dual processor (3.01 Ghz) running on Win 7 (32) with 4 Gb of ram. Would moving up to a Quad, 6 or 8 core processor speed up compressing files to fit 25 Gb disc be substantially faster? Right now it takes about 8 to 12 hours to process most discs when some compression is required. Does the video card have any effect on the processing speed? Or amount of RAM? Win 7 32 vs 64? Thanks in advance for any input.

Yes, you would definitely see improved times...I use to have an Intel Core 2 duo Q6600...x264 encoding average time was close to yours, ~10-12 hours...bought a new Intel i5 (quad core) and now my times are around ~2-4 hours.

More cores the better, not sure how many DVDFab maxes out at...
