Tried everything but can't rip movie

The movie in question is "Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader" Blu-ray
I've tried to access it using:
DVDFab 8.2.2.8, DVDFab 9.0.2.8 and DVDFab Passkey 8.0.9.2
    all fail.
PowerDVD 11 fails but PowerDVD 12 ultra does not and plays fine. It also plays fine on my PS3.
When trying to open on DVDFab 8 and 9:
"Failed to open F:\[CHRONICLES_OF_NARNIA]. Please check if it's playable."

My blu-ray drive is liteon iHOS104 and I've used their smartpack to make sure the firmware is updated (it is).

Most other software makers can't open or rip this either but one other one could.

I contacted DVDFab customer support but just got a few simple troubleshooting tips that didn't help (like scanning the disc for errors, clean the disc, etc.).

Post your internal log for the failed attempts so we can look for errors etc.Are you using bit defender by any chance?
is your A/V Codec for H.264 set to "Intel Quick Sync" if so Change to Cuda

Thanks for the reply. Not using bit defender, just Microsoft Security Essentials.

The A/V codec was already set to Cuda.

          version?

After reading your logs the first log:
0m 16.23s: Supports bus encryption: NO
0m 16.24s: Supports binding nonce generation: NO

            Your second log:
0m 15.19s: Supports bus encryption: NO
0m 15.19s: Supports binding nonce generation: YES

I seem to remember you can't make some kinds of blu rays with a drive that doesn't support bus encryption and binding nonce generation I point this out for the Fab developers to look at to see if my memory is correct here.

                9.0.2.8

I just updated to this newest version, but haven't tried yet. It is very different looking. Other than setting the write burn speed, are there any other changes needed in order to use? I now have 3 versions loaded, so I can still revert to my version 8.2.2.8QT if need be, but I guess they aren't going to update the 8 version any longer... now that they have version 9 up and running....

Probably just have to try it and see....

If making 3d movies make sure the burn engine is set to Fab burning engine in software settings for blu rays.

Is this disk a US disk or Europe disk? Where did you buy it?

You should be able to open the disk no matter what Fab settings are set to unless the copy protection is new to Fab but this disks copy protection is already broken if it's the US version that came out some time ago.

The second logs were mine. Similar issue, different user/system. Seems like my only option is to upgrade my drive.

Is there a recommended drive for better DVDfab success?

Don't go upgrading your drive just yet i posted information for developers to look at not you based on my memory. Now that I had more of a chance to think about it i believe it was a protected disk that couldn't be made and that's a disk to get around Cinavia in the PlayStation that had older software and I don't think it matters here.

This may be a server issue that Fab has to update.Their are now 3 people that can't open this disk another one is in the decryption updates so wait awhile and see if fab updates its server.

I had no trouble with the 3d US disk but that was made with older fab versions a while ago.I ask you if your disk is a disk meant for Europe as it may contain different copy protection than the US version or if this movie is re released it could have a different copy protection. One user reported his copy still has a accs copy protection on it so this is a good sign their needs to be a server update for this disk.

Oh, okay. Thanks for the assistance.

It's a US version. Haven't had Cinavia/PS3 issues in a while as I rip to drive for a set top box player.
