All of a sudden can't make backups of my blu rays

Everything was working fine for many months. Not sure what changed with my system, but all of a sudden, when using blue ray copy, I am having trouble. Specifically what happens is when the program attempts to burn the temp folder contents onto the blank blu ray it shows .01% complete and the write speed never changes from 0 and it just hangs there sometimes indefinitely and sometimes an error message eventually pops up that says the burn failed. Everything was working fine before so again, not sure what has changed with my system. I was using an older version of dvdfab and just installed (and renewed subscription) Dvdfab 9 and I'm still having the exact same problem.

If you could also post your burn log that might help.
Another suggestion is to use ImgBurn as your burn engine, you will find instructions in the link in my signature on setting it up with Fab.

Here is the latest internal log where I tried to make an iso first and then burn to the blank disc and it just hung showed .05% this time and nothing happened. I waited for 5 or 6 minutes before hitting cancel.

I was wondering about it being a blank disc issue. That's the only thing I can think of that is different. I just got this new spindle of blank Philips BD-R 25GB discs and the problems started at the same time.....previously had a spindle of this same brand and no problems at all. Could an entire spindle be "bad"?

It very well may be the discs.
Try this, open ImgBurn click tools > settings > write > on page 1 third box down put a check in the perform OPC before write and try again.

Well, i don't think it's the disks. Just got a new batch of verbatim's and am experiencing the same problem. so unless there is also a problem with these verbatims......
With that said, how to I determine if it's a problem with the BD burner, the dvdfab software, or something else on my system that is interfering? Like I said, everything was fine and working great for several months and then all of a sudden this started happening. This time with the verbatims I tried making an iso of the main movie, then putting the verbatim in and burning from the iso. The BD player just spit the disc out asking for a writable disc! like it didn't even recognize it.

This is a firmware issue please update your drives firmware their is a update for this drive.Follow directions completely if you never updated any firmware on your drives before.

I checked the samsung website for the latest firmware (was hard to find) and the version it showed available was the same version mine has. I went ahead and downloaded and installed it anyway and still not working. I tried to make a data disc outside of dvdfab and it failed as well. I guess this samsung driver worked for 4 months and then crapped out?

Here are the logs I have, note that the success with the movie Hoosiers is misleading as I watched it tonight and there are several scenes where it skips like crazy! I guess I need a new burner.....what are the best bang for the buck external burners that last longer than 4 months?
