    Problems with Blu Ray Copy

Okay, so I've been a slew of issues with the Blu Ray copy feature that I have a lifetime sub to, which i'm hoping someone can help me with. Ill just lump up my grievances here in this one post.

    1) The customize copy feature doesn't seem to work for me. I always copy the movie to my harddrive so that I can convert it to the MKV format but for some reason, the copied movie doesn't seem to work/rip/convert at all.
The process succeeds, no error messages at all, but when I try to use the file, DVDfab just continually scans the file...I've left it like this for a long time and it still doesn't recognize the files. I have to manually shut DVDfab down because it literally freezes.
When I use the main movie copy feature, it works, just not the customize feature...weird.

    2) Conversion to MKV...the audio is continually out of sync..by a millisecond or so...but it's irritating. I don't know what is up with DVDFAB...I've had this problem with almost every new build. I still use the old 8.0 version to convert because it's the only build that seems to get the audio sync right as long as I make the framerate 24. I know that I'm not the only one to have this issue, is there any way to fix this?

    3) Subtitles are way off. I've noticed this with either version of DVDFAB. From 8.0 to 9.0. It used to work before, but lately all my blu ray title subs are off.

Ok, so there are my gripes. I'm hoping that there is a simple fix. Even with Cuda disabled, my audio and subs are still off. No error messages so I don't know what logs to post, but hoping for some help.

    Hi YoboRippr,
We need more info for trouble shooting.
For 1), do you mean the copied files from customize feature cannot be loaded in Fab again?
For 2) and 3), what profiles did you use? Please post the related internal log.

      Hi YoboRipper,
I have tried several physical discs as sources to do customize. The outputted iso can be loaded without any issue. Please give more info, the related internal log is the best.

Sorry, I totally forgot that I posted a question on this forum. My bad.

Anyway, since I'm not gettting any type of error message, which internal logs are you talking about? I thought that you only get a log when you something doesn't go wrong.

Okay, to answer your question. I bought the Wreck it Ralph Blu Ray and tried to customize copy it to my hard drive. It goes through the motions and DVDfab says successfully completed and I see the completed files in my hard drive. (I do not allow DVDfab to create a mini iso file, in case that helps.)

Now when I try to rip it to a MKV format, All versions of DVDFab will continually scan and scan and scan. In fact I can't even cancel it, I have to open my task manager and shut down DVDfab manually.

So I then copied the Blu Ray file using the Main Movie feature and DVDfab finally allows me to rip it to a MKV file and all is fine in the world....except the subtitles and audio. Using DVDfab 9, the audio and subs were both off. I tred to rip it using DVDfab 8 and the audio comes out right, but the subs are still off.

As for ripping regular dvd's to the MKV format (after copying the movie file to my harddrive) the audio is always off sync unless I manually set the framerate to 24 for every title...

If you tell me how to post the internal logs without an error message, I'll try and get it for you...but since DVDfab doesn't even get past the "scan" portion of a customized blu ray file, I dont' know how this will help.

        Thanks.

CBR929...ok, I'll try and copy a blu ray later and get the log...will it matter if there is no error message and it completes ok? Also, should I then riip it to mkv and print the log afterwards, to show why the audio and subs are so off. Thanks.

              Hi YoboRippr
No, it will not matter if you have no error message.
The converted log will also help the developers with this issue.
Make sure that you try using the latest beta found here http://www.dvdfab.com/mlink/download.php?g=DVDFAB9_BETA
              Hope this helps

Sorry took so long, but I finally had some free time. So here is the latest internal log for Wreck it Ralph. I'm using the latest 9.0.3.2. beta. I wanted to make sure that I still ran into the same problem with the customize version and i verified that I am. After copying the movie to my hard drive, I reopen DVDFab and choose ripper and it just keeps scanning forever...anyway, here are the logs. If you have a solution for me, it'll be great. Then I will try and rip it to a mkv and show you the logs if the audio sync and subs are off again. Thanks.

Oh yeah, I just recently (about a week or so ago) update the Nvidia firmware so that should be updated as well. And for the record, even disabling the Cuda in this version did not help with the audio sync...for some reason, it works on the 8.0.8.5. version. That's how long I've been dealing with this audio sync issue, but now I have issues with the subs as well...help!!!
