True Blood Season 5

Reviving an old thread. I am trying to duplicate True Blood season 5 disc 2 and there is almost 8G data on the disc, but when I run copy it only shows 63M!? I am using 12.0.8.4. Any ideas?

Is this a commercially made blu-ray disc? 8gb of data even on a single layer BD doesn't seem like much.

I pulled out my True Blood Season 5 blu-ray boxset . . there are 5 bd discs in this set & disc #2 is double layer with 41.669gb on it. DVDFab opens this disc perfectly fine & I expect it would copy it to my hard disc with no issues. This set also includes 2 extra DVD/Digital Copy discs which appear to be dual layer double sided media. Side 1 of Disc 2 appears to have 7.1gb of data on it containing episodes 7, 8 & 9. Is this the disc you are working with? If yes, are you in "copy"- "main movie" mode causing DVDFab to pick 1 of the 3 episodes on the disc maybe? If you want more help, you need to provide more info.

Thanks for the replies! I must admit that I was not aware of dual layer capability and have been making all copies onto single layer discs. As compression gets into the 50% range I believe that has been the source of some of my problems with discs not playing properly.

But here is more info on the question at hand. I will try to clarify: The season five discs I have I don't believe are blue ray. The rest of discs in season 5 copied OK. Original dIsc 2 plays fine and shows 6.44GB. I have been copying these serial season discs as full disc vice main or even trying to split them.
The first time I tried to copy, everything appeared normal but within seconds it stopped and showed copy complete! I looked into it and when I initiate a full disc copy it only shows like 49 megabytes of data to copy. So I am not sure if a log file will reveal what is going on but I will attempt to post it. I did think why not see if the disc will clone and that is when the software prompted me to use a dual layer disc and now I understand how that will make for better quality copies.

Not sure why my post doubled? Here is the log file from starting DVDFab and setting up to copy the full S5D2 disc. It shows 63MB which is way too low.

Thanks for the replies! I must admit that I was not aware of dual layer capability and have been making all copies onto single layer discs. As compression gets into the 50% range I believe that has been the source of some of my problems with discs not playing properly.

But here is more info on the question at hand. I will try to clarify: The season five discs I have I don't believe are blue ray. The rest of discs in season 5 copied OK. Original dIsc 2 plays fine and shows 6.44GB. I have been copying these serial season discs as full disc vice main or even trying to split them.
The first time I tried to copy, everything appeared normal but within seconds it stopped and showed copy complete! I looked into it and when I initiate a full disc copy it only shows like 49 megabytes of data to copy. So I am not sure if a log file will reveal what is going on but I will attempt to post it. I did think why not see if the disc will clone and that is when the software prompted me to use a dual layer disc and now I understand how that will make for better quality copies.

try clicking common settings - dvd - pathplayer - disable pathplayer,
restart dvdfab and retry the disc again and see if you get a full copy.
