Crash while doing BD50 to BD25 on Band of Brothers

First noticed the problem with 9.0.4.2.

The Band of Brothers UPC is 883929023936.

There is no problem doing a full BD50 copy from the disc to the HDD. The crash is a result of trying to do a BD50 to BD25 recode. Makes no diiference if the source is the disc or the HDD folder. It happens with discs 1 and 2 of the 6 disc set. Did not try discs 3-6.

Here is the directory structure of the source:
    Code:
    -rwxrwxrwx 1 Vidiot None 18405949440 Jun 4 18:59 00000.m2ts

So, yes, it does not get far into the task before there is a crash. DVDFab9 just goes away, no error messages, nothing.

    Here is the log:

All of the above data from version 9.0.4.2. Didn't redo the capture of the data, as the result was the same with 9.0.4.5.

Any help in getting this to work will be appreciated.

I did my Band of Brothers about 1 year ago, compressing Full disks to 25gb... No issues, no problems.. Smooth burn...

All of the above data from version 9.0.4.2. Didn't redo the capture of the data, as the result was the same with 9.0.4.5.

Any help in getting this to work will be appreciated.

I'm not sure what type of CPU I have would cause the process to fail, when it does not happen on other discs.

I only build systems with AMD processors : Phenom II X4 965

I have a i7 and i have problem as soon i want to compress movies to 25 Gb. And a lot of report in this forum goes this way with messages as "after a while dvdfab stop to encode" or " have a crash with the app".

Anyway they have now the logs for this problems, so i hope they can fix it...

          Cheers

I have 8.2.2.8 and that did indeed work with the first disc's files.

Goes to prove that something was changed in DVDFab9 that causes it to crash.

                Hello,

I found the origin of the crash and freezing issues, i had to put in Bitdefender DVDFAB and Fabcore in the exclusions list now all works fine.

                Hope this will help others

I did my Band of Brothers about 1 year ago. I know I had used version 8 (don't remember whch version of it)... and I had no issues at all. My copy was and still is perfect.

Just goes to show....another issue with version 9... and by the way... Your processor has no bearing on whether the copy works......all that would mean is how long it may take...
