I have an HD 7700 card and would like support for it too, but I think it's an AMD issue that there's not. Does the AMD CPU have the virtual cores too, fab will use all 8 or 12 or whatever. Mine will get around 16 mb/s on full disk to 25GB.

      yer

yes i ran a check and the cpu and it does have what you say. im getting a x6 1000t in a while on a slow boat from china lol hope that helps with encoding. what i see in dvdfab is under video encoder which is h.264.. thats supported by my 7950.. its all related to intel stuff so either the amd driver dont work which is odd cause it has h.264 support or more like dvdfab dosent support it... you see what im sayin? the encoder side of things is all intel cuz it says ur graphics card is unsupported. Screw intel im an amd fan from way back my system runs sweet on all games basically everything i do except this dvdfab software. I will just do backups when i sleep. Thanks mate for your reply and ideas much appreciated. Mick

Unfortunately AMD doesn't have anything similar to Quick Sync and their line of ATI cards aren't very well supported in DVDFab.

If you want a boost in DVDFab and want to stick with AMD CPU's, you're probably better off with Nvidia graphcs cards.

By the way, if you turn off Quick Sync, the encode still only takes about 1¼ - 1½ hours.

That's what I was attempting to show Marty, with QS turned off I compressed to 49% a BR 1:21:xx.
