    Error 122 Question

Hi, Before burning to a BD-R disc I do a test run using a BD-RE first, if all goes well then I'll do a burn to BD-R for the final copy, problem is I keep getting the error=122 message when trying to do the burn to BD-R disc. Anybody ran into this error before?
    Thanks Papajo

The problem is the media you are using, Memorex is so-so, I use Panasonic for my 25GB disc's and Sony for the 50 GB with a sprinkling of Verbatim's mixed in.
If you have a different media available give that a go.

I did upgrade to the new version with the same results, seems I can burn to the rewritable disc(BD-RE) but not the right once disc(BD-R). I tryed burning using ImgBurn but kept saying the disc(BD-R) was not empty even though these are brand new disc's!
As far as changing brands that can be a little expensive, like I said it burns to Memorex RE but not the R disc, seems little a setting issue.

I'm using the Pioneer BDR-205 for my burner and the LG for the writer.

        Thanks Papajo

My guess papajo, is that it's a bad press, have you tried another disc to see if that will burn.

Yes I did try a second disc, I bought a spindle of 15 for $30.00 + shipping so I really don't want to go to another brand

No same as first, I tryed using imgburn and it gave me a error that there was "info on the disc" it did this on 2 BD-R disc's, will only copy using a BD-RE disc.

this is just my two cents, but am wondering if maybe you have a whole spindle of bad ones.
that error is caused by your driver not being able to see the media, and if it's seeing the RE and not the -R then that speaks to the media.

Well touchdown you are right, I tried a disc from the middle of the spindle and it worked perfect, guess I'll be using other than Memorex in the furture.

Thanks for your 2 cents worth. Papajo

Happy New Year to the whole group!!
