I would like to be able to view a Blu Ray movie that has been backed up using the Blu Ray Copy Program (9.1.1.9) to a hard drive on a W7 "home server" system. I am trying to use an OPPO BDP-103 player via the "Network" option to view the movie. I can play MP3 music files and view WMV video files from the server on the BDP-103 with no problems. But I cannot figure out what format is needed by the OPPO BDP-103 to play a Blu Ray movie directly from the hard drive.
I would appreciate help on where I can find a tutorial or something to get me on the right track. I have tried the Trial Version of Convert to MP4 and Rip to MP4 but the program just hangs and I have to use Task Manager to kill it. I was trying to use the back up copy on the hard drive as input. Be gentle, as you can probably tell I'm a novice at this.
