Slow backup time on new much more powerful machine

I had a laptop with a I-3 processor and built in graphics card. The typical blu ray ISO would take 30-40 minutes. Just bought a new laptop with a quad core I-7 and I backups up a blu ray and it took an hour. I was expecting a much faster time since the machine is newer and faster.

Are there settings in dvdfab that I should change?

    Thanks

The CPU doesn't have anything to do with the speed at which the disc is copied. That has everything to do with the read speed of the drive in question

That statement is only true if there is no compression involved. If the movie is being compressed the CPU/GPU is heavily involved.

Both machines used the same external blu ray drive. It copy's at the same speed but step 2(create ISO process) takes twice as long on the newer machine.

Intel Quick Sync could explain the difference. Check the A/V Codecs on both machines, If the old I3 had IQS and the new I7 doesn't it would explain a lot.
