Yeah Simca I would go with a clean uninstall, prefetch and scrub the registry as well. I don't consider compressing to 25GB from the DVD in less than an hour a problem.

I have exactly the same issue, is there a problem or should I just download the previous version or do a clean reload? Sill love the product.

Not a source issue. Problem seen by 90312 and another poster.

    I can not reproduce it.
Is this a special source issue?
    How about other source?

Your system is probably faster than mine. It takes about 2-3 hrs when it was faster with 9.1.5.6. Almost 8 hrs for a 27 GB -> 22 GB resize is just way too long.

    I can't live with that.

Point taken, it is slow but mine takes less than an hour from the BR-DVD to 25GB full disc, so I can live with it.

It is not the reason for this problem. Your posted images show that you get the same slow results. Something changed in this version to cause this issue.

I've never had an issue with installing on top of the current install, as all of the pieces get replaced with new pieces.

Of your two images, notice that the first one had a very low MB/s rate. Even the 2nd image did not fair very well. With 9.1.5.6, the rates were never that bad. As mentioned, 9.1.5.6 had MB/s rates that were in the triple digits. 9.1.5.9 never achieves that.

The rerun of the job took 7 hr and 37 min, which is horrible.

    The log is attached.

MrVideo I recommend a clean uninstall prior to reinstalling Fab seems to help me avoid these things. I just tried a BR from the disc to Full Disc 25GB. I'll post a couple screenshots of he progress, one at 12 minutes into the compression and one at about 68% complete.

90312: I wish it would have been that simple with the job that I did. As mentioned, it took 7 hrs and 42 min. It never hit double-digit MB/s. With 9.1.5.6, I saw it hit over triple-digit MB/s.

So, for me, every thing it was converting was extremely slow.

Dora: I don't burn from within DVDFab. I do the 50->25 conversion from HDD to HDD (two separate HDDs). I'll reload the software, clear the DVDFab logs and rerun a HDD to HDD conversion.

I tried this Dora and my slowdown came during the first part of the compression process during what I assume were the menu and extra items. It slowed to less than 1 MB/s and indicated it would take more than 12 hours. I let it go and when it got to the movie it picked up the pace and completed in 35 minutes. From an HDD folder to 25GB iso. Main Movie went well start to finish, I think it chokes on the menus.

I just had the same problem trying to burn YURUSAREZARUMONO , so slow it was almost going backwards.Ripped o/k , but gave up on burning with 9.1.5.9
went back to version 8.2.2.9 and it zipped through it in no time!
