Pacific Rim 3D crashes on 3D TV

    Hi,

I rencently backed up my Pacific Rim 3D blu-ray. The conversion and burn process worked fine. On My system took 6 hours.

However, when I play the backup on my passive 3D TV it crashes at 00:00:45, just as Taylor Kitsch starts speaking.

On my active 3D TV it works fine.

Edit: Both TVs and bluray players are on the latest firmware.

This is the extract from burn log.

Did you play with the same Blu-ray 3D player? I suppose that it should be related with the 3D player, not the 3D TV.

TV's only "acting" as monitors when you play a movie using any kind of players through it. I think one of your Blu-ray players has a problem.Try to change them around and see what's happening.Remember the copy on disc is OK so the problem is on "replay"on one of your players.

            Makes sense.

The one that works is the LG HR558D. This one cost me ~$600
The one that doesn't is a Sony BDP-E2100 or something like that (player & speakers). That cost around $300.

damn it! I gotta buy a more expensive H/T system, or a better 3D player, speakers and receiver components :-(

Or just do like many on this forum and get a media player and never worry about wasting money on buying discs, burning discs or Cinavia protection!

I had a Sony DVD player/recorder a few years back which cost me $650.00, the thing was very picky about discs I put in it, but, my daughters $20.00 DVD player would play anything, go figure

Even if it's a little thing, do something for those who have need of help, something for which you get no pay but the privilege of doing it.

Yes, I did try that. I went through 4 WD TV Live boxes. They work for 2 months, then one day they just refuse to see media files. I lost faith in media players at that point
