Whats the issue with A Haunted House 2, backed this movie up 5 times, even got the original and redid a copy; no matter what as soon as you get to the after 1 year, about 4 mins in the movie, its just pauses, plays, pauses. Did this movie total of 8 times and absolutely no luck getting this movie backed up. No issue with any other movies doing this.

How are you playing it? Does the original do the same thing. I have an older dvd that had similar problem and when I replaced the dvd player with a newer one the problem was gone.
If you playing it on a Blu-ray player Check and see if you have a firmware update as that may fix it -
