Disk span DL BD-50 over multiple BD-25s?

Is it possible to burn a store bought DL BD-50 to span 2 SL BD-25s?

Since BD-50s run upwards of $25 for one disk, wouldn't it make sense to do some kind of disk spanning on cheaper BD-25s? I can get BD-25s for around $2.00 per disk. Since 1080p display equipment is pretty much the standard now compression loss could be noticeable.

i wish i could help you with your question but if you look around online and not in-stores like best buy and other rip-off retailers you will find dual layer bd-r discs are about $10 a pop on average. Especially when you get to buying in multiples of 10 at a time.

Also, stay away from TDK discs....just a tip.
