blu ray to blu ray UP

I have tried to back up the movie Up to an iso file using both full disc and main movie options and the movie start a few chapters into the movie (where they come to pick him up to take him to the home). When using main movie the player shows the movie starting correctly. Any ideas?

this movie is a little bit tricky to rip since its split into like 50 m2ts files. They are also not in numerical order. What you should do it rip it to hard drive with the audio you want and convert to image file from there.

Note: make sure to watch some clips before converting to image. I actually went straight to bluray without checking the audio and burned the french audio by accident. Second try (to hard drive) I ripped the commentary track instead of the correct audio. Third time was the charm.


I also ran across the multiple m2ts / out of order video issue with Monsters Inc. as well.

Ok, I had to go back to my Up rip and investigate but I remember now.


First you need to rip the entire bluray to your hard drive.

Now go to the folder you ripped to and check the Playlist folder and Stream folder. The stream folder has all of the video files in it (.m2ts files) and the playlist folder should contain one .mpls file in it.

Open the .mpls file with notepad it should contain a list of the movie file names with lots of garbled text and symbols aswell. This is the "playlist" that your bluray player reads to know when to play each .m2ts file. You can check to make sure your playlist is in correct order. I've never had to re-order this file so don't ask me how .
