9.1.8.8 - Flying Swords of Drangongate 3D - flashing wrong scenes

I can't seem to figure out how to make a good backup of my copy of Flying Swords of Dragongate. I like to play my backup so that if kids or the dog damage it, I still have my pristine original (which plays just fine on 2 different players) , but this one has been a problem.

If I do just the main movie, I can't get the English subtitles I need since I do not speak Mandarin, plus the 3D does not work.

I made a clone and the 3D works ok, but sometimes the film freezes when I select the english subtitles and I have to eject the disc to get the machine going again (2 machines both do this) and sometimes it does not freeze. However, I get to around 56 minutes in and the picture is interrupted by a repeating momentary flash of a previous or following shot (not sure which) making it unwatchable.

I have now tried it at least 3 ways, so my logs have a ton of stuff and I am not sure what is what.

When I did a "full disc" copy, the resulting disc plays the two little intro clips that say the production companies, but then when the movie should start, it goes to "play" but it is all black with no audio and the meter does not advance.

Has anyone backed up this film in 3D successfully, recently? Did you have to make special settings?

update your dvdfab version to the latest version (9.1.9.8) and
try the disc again. also please post dvdfabs complete internal log files.

I have updated to 9.1.9.9.

Made a full disc copy. It behaves identically to the one I made on the older version - plays the little intro clips then goes to black.

Next, I made a clone burn. It works ok until 2:37 when it freezes and causes the blu-ray player to no longer respond to any input. I have to unplug it, then eject the disc before it plays in order to get it out.

At this point I have spent more on wasted blanks than the move cost me.

Which of the many log files are needed and what parts? Surely the DVDFab engineers can make this work, no?

On one of the burns, I did select english over on the right side, and was surprised that it did not work when I burned it to disc.

I will try to find the setting for a slower burn speed. Maybe that is the key.

Ran another clone/burn last night with the burn speed restricted to 4x (media was 6x) and it has the same problems. Another wasted disc.

This disk is cheaply made and 2 new copy's i have don't pass the stream test in VSO inspector the ssif files contain 3 errors.I remuxed this movie in tsmuxer a free non competing Fab program and this corrected the errors and made a pristine main movie copy that plays well and can then be put back in fab to do any other conversions needed or burned to disk as main movie.

Forgot to tell you in my last post you really won't need the sub titles to see whats going on in the movie as the movie has a dubbed in English Dolby 2 channel sound track.The default sound is Chinese because it's a Chinese movie just switch to the English version soundtrack with your players controls.

The subtitles you may want on at the start of the movie if you want the Chinese actors names in English but you can turn them off after as the English sound track may be used.Their is only one title on the disk so you can't get the out of order parts you spoke about.You may have thought this if you watched with just the sub titles their are some rough cuts in the movie now that you know theirs a dubbed in English soundtrack try watching again after you fix this movie and maybe you will agree.
