Black Sails blu-ray encoding hangs

Tried twice to copy Black Sails season 2 disc 1 compressing full disc to 25gB, Both times it stops at 27%. Before it stops it says completion time is about 7.5 hours! I am new to Blu-ray but have used it once successfully on Mission Impossible Rogue Nation compressing it to 25gB.
The program information bar at the bottom says "copying Blu-ray..." and Task Progress shows 27% and the blue graph bar is still moving like it is working. It's been going now for 4:32:19
Using version 9.2.2.4 on Windows 7

Try disable GPU, Settings- a/v codec - disable GPU

Disabled GPU has no effect

I disabled GPU (whatever that is) and tried again. The process was working normally, then started slowing down at 27%. After a couple minutes it slowed down all the way to a zero copy rate and the estimated finish time increased to over 30 hours, then too long to display.
I tried disc 2 in the same set. It experienced the exact same problem but this time at 25%.
