    Backing up bluray to hardrive

Just a simple question, if I just want to backup my bluray to my hardrive, how do I do this? (Do I use main movie, clone, or is there a function I specifically need to do to save it to the hardrive.) lastly, what is the best program I can get to play these files on my computer and/or bluray movies on my computer? Any programs that are free by chance? Thanks for the help.

I back up my disc by using the Main Movie only feature.

You simply select an output folder to save on your HD.

You can use windows media player to play the .m2ts file, but you might have to download additional codecs to make compatible...just let me know if you need help. This option is free.

As for playing the disc directly on your PC you would need to buy a program...but again, the windows media player option is free.

When you bought your bluray drive, did it not come with a free program like Power DVD?

I just bought an external bluray burner. It didn't come with anything special. I can play the movies, but some of them don't have audio in the windows player. What types of codecs do I need to get audio? Let me know and thanks for the help.

as for DVDFab updates, I have no clue when another update will be available. Sorry, could be soon or could be a while...never know.
