Blu-Ray VC-1 to Blu-Ray AVC

Hi is there a way to convert video formats from Vc-1 to Mpeg - 4 avc?
Took me forever to find a filter for VC-1. Sure the disc plays nice on cyberlink dvd software but the microsoft codecs prevent you from using a directshow filter to decode the file but have no issue with avc format.

File to Mobile can be used to convert a VC-1 encoded M2TS file to H264 (which is what the AVCHD is using). You would likely loose a lot of quality.

I suspect that what you are trying to accomplish with the directshow filter is outside the scope this forum. You may want to try doom9.

What i want to do is rip blu-ray to HD then use expression encoder 3 to make a WMVHD with 5.1 surround works flawlessly when it is either mpeg4 or avchd format but when in VC-1 i cant 2 step convert it i found other ways but ide like a way to back everything up in avchd no matter the source
