    Fuzzy video

    Hi,

I have tried out the latest release (6.2.1.8),
Like to know if anyone else is facing this problem.
I just notice this problem, not sure if all movie have this problem.

    When i ripped a movie,
there is about 5-10 scene where a portion of the video is fuzzy,
each time each last for around 1sec or less.
Even when i re-rip the video, the same scene tends to have this problem.

    For example,
i ripped a BD-50 movie iso image on HDD to BD25 which does not require re-encoding, (the main video m2ts = 22,862,802KB)
the resultant m2ts was re-sized to 22,862,796KB and have the above problem. (did confirmed org m2ts is ok)
    No error encounter.

    2 question,
If the main m2ts does not require re-encoding,
is it normal for the m2ts file to change size ?
Am i right to say video card or driver should not have any effect since no re-encoding is involved ?

Appreciate any ideas to isolate this problem.
    Thanks

I have noticed this when clicking the quality dropdown box and the reported file size may change but has never caused a problem for me. This may be a reporting glitch within Fab. Future releases will be improved upon.

    You are correct.

EDIT: actually during the playback the video card will have an effect on picture quality and might be the problem.
What is the specific title you're having problems with?

      Hi W&B,

The movie is - This Is It.
To clarify, the size is readback from window explorer.

Looks like i will try out different settings.

      Thanks

"This Is It" may be one movie that DVDFab is going to have many problems with. The movie itself is cobbled together from various footage. DVDFab may not be able to detect the transition properly from one format to another in the same title. It is rather uncommon to have those transitions in a normal movie.

          Hi,

          After days of endless trying,
i think i know where the problem is.

Previously, i ripped the video and save as iso on my hdd.
From there, i load the iso into DvdFab and generate the Main Movie,
which always give me the fuzzy problem as well as the slightly smaller m2ts file size.
I tried to disable all the copy protection, path player, hw acceleration etc,
          none work.

What i found is that, if i will to load the same iso into virtual drive,
then open the video Folder in DvdFab,
          the above issue is gone.

Not sure if this is specific to my system (due to my other existing sw/hw),
or due to the way DvdFab handle iso image.

          Rgds

Always good to mount the ISO to a virtual drive before you burn to a blank DVD using DVDFab
