Question for an expert

I use dual layer dvd media for backing up standard dvd's so I don't have to compress them. ImgBurn will pick several frames automatically to choose from for the point of the layer change. It works well. However, when I compress a Blu Ray disk to DV9 with DvdFab and burn it with ImgBurn to a DV9 it asks no questions about the layer change point but everything comes out great. It just burns it. Why is this?

Because there is no layer change on a BD9.
