can i burn single layer onto double layer?

why would you want to use a $20 DL blank when you can use a $5 SL blank instead but to answer your question yes you can but why as it a waste of $$$

these Ridata 25GB BD-R discs were cheap like the Verbatim 25GB BD-R's I had.

not sure why Imgburn says they are dual layer.
