This Notice is to alert you that the Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) Holiday is underway in China and much of Asia and for this reason the DVDFab Office will be closed until February 4. During this period, support by chat and email will not be available but the forum will be here for any problems you may encounter. Purchases of new products and license renewals may be made normally on the DVDFab website. Thanks for your understanding and Happy New Year!
If you are like me and run an external burner off a laptop. XP sp2 being the os of choice. Shutting down internet and antivirus is a good thing. I have had my FAB just stop because my antivirus at the time was whirling away in the background. My poor cpu must have just given up. LOL.
I have to say I agree Rip, if you have a slow computer you really shouldn't multitask. Probably wouldn't need to completely disable the antivirus but just don't run any scans while ripping/burning.
no, never had anything else opened at ALL when burning, just wondering if i should turn the internet security off that has firewall,anti-virus,linkscanner, identity protection, update manager, anti-spyware, anti-rootkit, license, anti-spam, system tools, online shield, firewall, email scanner, resident shield....etc.
that's all. but YES, computer is older and slower.
