    Blu-ray to DVD5 or DVD9, how?

I understand from a previous post that I can copy from my Blu-ray disc to a DVD5 or a DVD9, but that the result will only be playable in a Blu-ray player. Okay, fair enough, I understand.
But how do I do this copying/compressing?
Also, is it possible to copy a single blu-ray disc onto 2 DVD5's.
If I select Blu-ray to Blu-ray Full Disc, I don't see any option except for BD50. If I do Main Movie, then I can select one track, and it looks like I have some compression options. Is that correct?
When I tried this, I got an error message: "Cannot compress interleaved source for now; output size will be about 18981 MB". So it looks like the compression failed in this case. Correct?
Thanks for any reply. I have been using DVDFab for a couple of years and really like this product.

Ripping and burning bluray's is basically the same as regular DVD's with the exception they're two completely different formats of course. I do suggest if backing up main movie only to rip as an iso and use that as the source for the main movie option, it will not only help speed the process but save your optical drive from extra wear and tear because the process can run on average 3-4 hours if compression is needed.

No, you can't split the rip and burn to 2 DVD5's. It was announced that a customize mode may be added in the future but no idea what the capabilitys will be.

Correct, Fab cannot compress a Full disc backup including menus at this time but that option is in the works as reported by the Fab devs.

This is a known issue for some titles and is also being worked on. Check back often for new beta releases and read the release notes for the fix.

If not clear on anything just post back here and if I can't help hopefully someone else can, good luck

Thanks for this reply. I do now see the option to covert the Blu-ray to an ISO file. And am using the quality setting for DVD9. Unfortunately DVDFab closed after about 5 minutes. I did take the option to send the error logs, so hopefully that will help diagnose the problem.
If I try the latest beta version, can I install that while keeping it separate from my registered installation. So that I can continue to run the latest GA release.
      Thank you for your help.

Clarification of the above. The quality setting I chose was BD9 1080P.

When selecting a destination, click the right most icon of the disc in front of paper. This will allow you to select the destination ISO file.

Try ripping the movie to your hard drive first uncompressed and then use Fab to compress afterward to BDDVD9 you will have more chance of sucess since this can be a very long process depending on your system/CPU.
