    Schindler's List - 20th Anniversary Edition - Blu-ray Copy

Trying to copy this DVD onto my hard drive and it is taking forever.

Attempt 1, I let it run for about 10 hours, it got about 40% through the copy.. So while looking through the forums, I saw some people recommend turning path player off... So I stopped the copy and saw that it was on, so I switched it off. And that had no impact on the copy process. I always thought Path Player was for DVDs...

So I started the copy again... It has now been running for 32 hours, and it is about 54% complete. As well, the time left is at 35 hours. It is copying at 0,16 MB/s

Has anybody else had an issue with this Blue-ray? or is there a setting that I need to change?

Typically I have no issues with Blu-rays, unless it is a new release...

go back into settings - AV Codec - make sure that you have "disable all GPU codecs for encoding and decoding video encoder" unchecked.
restart dvdfab and retry the disc again.

I have this blu-ray and can test & report back. I am on a 14 year old home built AMD quadcore Windows 10 tower computer with an internal LG blu-ray drive, DVDFab 13032. I am using "Copy" - "Full Disc" to 50GB Files/folders. If you are doing something different than this, tell us.
Update: it is copying at 18MB/s & climbing, projecting less than an hour to complete.
Update: It is now 50% completed and running at 33 MB/s and projecting the entire copy process will take less than 30 minutes total.
Update: completed in 30 minutes. Resulting folder size = 43.3GB.

I checked the settings, and everything was unchecked on that tab.

I too have an old home built computer, using an intel i7-5820 with a MODISC blu-ray drive.

I am doing a Full Backup from the disc to a folder on my local drive, and copying into files/folders structure as well....

As a test, I killed the last copy process that was running for over 48 hours and only 58% complete using the latest DVD Fab that was released.

I am testing again with DVD Fab 12 to see if it makes a difference.

Are your settings the same as what I posted (esp. output to BD50)? Is the source disc in good shape and clean?

Yes, I am doing a full backup.

Copy on DVDFab 12 failed as well. After 1.5 hours, it completed on 12%.

Output to BD50? (ie. no recompression going on during your copy)
Source disc is in good shape and clean? (ie. not suffering through read errors).

retried again in DVD Fab 13.. Gets up to 33% copied and then starts with the read errors.

I checked the disc, there are no scratches or finger prints. It is clean and clear. Thinking it may be a defective disc and my blu-ray player is having an issue with it?

What is strange is that in DVDFab 12... It gets up to about 12% completed before it encounters the read errors. But in DVDFab 13, it gets past that point, and starts running into errors at about the 33% complete stage....

It sounds like read errors is your issue. Do you have a standalone blu-ray player connected to your TV? If yes - does the disc play ok there?
You might try cleaning the disc if you can do that without scratching it. I use my trusty old Discwasher cleaning unit & fluid.
If this is new - hopefully you can exchange it.

I tried to play the movie on my desktop, and it failed about an hour into the move.... Next I tried using a different Blu-ray device to try and copy the disc and it failed as well..

I am going to put this down to a bad disc, and move on.

                      Thanks for your help....
