    Green Screen ?

    Hello together

    First some details of my gear

    1. Notebook
    HP Pavillion dv5 1140 eg with
    Core 2 Duo P7350 2x 2.00GHz • 3072MB
    NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT 512MB

    2. External BD drive
    ASUS SBR 02E1S-U USB Drive

    3. OS
    Windows VISTA Home Premium - SP2

    failure description

    during dvdfab (latest version) evaluate of blue-ray to blue-ray i got allways green screen videos as a result. This failure occurs if i tried to create a 1280x720 BD9 video from my original BD. After the conversion process is done i got a 800-900 MB result-file. Audio works but video, as I mentioned above, is only a green screen.

    What is the failure reason
    Need Advice

    What playback software are you using?
    Also you are sure you are using BD to BD and not BD to Mobile?
    You tried to turn off GPU acceleration?

      using GOM as player
      using BD-2-BD (definitely)
      can´t find a switch to deactivate GPU Acceleration on DVDFAB7

        Please try VLC to play the file.

          I don´t think that the vlc player is the solution because the file size created by dvdfab is only 800-900 MByte.

          Where is the switch in dvdfab7 to deactivate the GPU acceleration ?

            Open Fab, Common Settings, A/V Codec. Select software in the dropdown boxes.

              VLC plays Fight Club's original M2TS file.

              But there is no video using VLC after DVDFab compresses it to BD25 size.

              Is this normal? Why are people saying that VLC is a good test?

                Heiner Lohr I think you may be selecting the wrong video stream. when Fab opens the disc you will see multiple files in the center screen. Try different ones and use previw till you find the right one. DVDFab doesn't always pick the right one for you.
