I've been trying for a couple of days to rip the blu ray release of Tropic Thunder. It gets to about 12.88% and then the program freezes. I've tried ripping the full disc and the main movie but I get the same results each time. I've tried doing it on my Windows 7 64-bit machine and my Windows XP machine with the same results. I'm out of ideas. Can someone please help...Thanks!!!!

Try opening Fab green check on top> protection>path player click disable path player if its on, or turn it on if its off

Path Player was on. I turned it off and had the same results. It reaches 12.88% and freezes. I cleaned the disc and I still have the same problem. I included the log output. It looks like it's stopping at "not get decoded frame". I'm not sure what that means.

whenever I get a disc that stops at a certain point most of the time its been because of the tinyest scratch. Yeah i know bluray has an extra protective coating but lets face it sometimes they get scratched...and a standalone Bluray player may never notice but a BD drive reader that is super sensitive to the data might lock up from reading. Its happened to me on a few occasions...replaced the disc and it worked fine.

This is the first time I've had any trouble. The disc has some minor spots on it but that could be the problem. It plays fine in my PS3. I'll try cleaning it again...Comment

most def some kind of disc scratch, had the the same problem with superman returns, would not copy no matter how many times i cleaned it, but i had no probs copying tropic thunder so must be damaged disc.Comment

Like I said, it might play fine just to watch in a player (it can merely skip over the scratch)...but when using program software that is super sensitive to reading the actual data it might freeze the program up.Originally posted by jfroschauer View Post
