is it possible to split blu-ray to two dvd9 ?

I am using dvdfab blu-ray v7.0.3.0 and I wanted to know if is possible let's say to compress lords of the rings blu-ray to two dvd9 disc in AVCHD. I would save money compare to bd-r and I would not look so bad because it would be 1 dvd9 1:20 mins and second dvd9 1:30 mins.

Not at the moment. It may be planned in the future but we do not know.
