Unable to copy Full Movie BD25-> BD25

I have been using DVDFab (registered) for several years for DVD copying. I just tried to use the trial version to copy a BD25 movie ("Bruce Almighty") to a BD25 disc, but the GUI insisted that a BD50 was required. Is this a "crippled" feature of the trial version, or would I encounter the same issue if I were to purchase the BD enabled product? I am waiting (like a lot of others I am sure) for the BD50 prices to come down a bit more. The BD25 prices are now reasonable. I would appreciate hearing back on this. My writer is an external USB LG GBW-H20L. I tried both RIDATA and Sony media, but neither was deemed appropriate when I tried to initiate the copy process.

Make sure you are selecting BD25 output in DVDFab.

The only selection ppossible was BD50. The dropdown only contained BD50.

Sorry, I didn't pay close enough attention. Full Disc only supports BD50 at the moment (sorry no ETA available). I think this is true even if the Full Disc would fit on a BD25. You would have to use Main Movie mode if you wanted to use something smaller than a BD50.

Clone mode should work provided the original will fit on a BD25 disc. 'The Time Travelers Wife' worked for me, never tried the full disc option to see if that would work though.

In clone mode, DVDFab reports that the media in my destination drive is not a BD writable disc, but Nero recognizes it properly.

With the original disc in the drive open windows explorer and see how large it is and also post any logs that may have been created, the default location is C:\Documents and Settings\your username\My Documents\DVDFab\Log.

Windows Vista reports the disc as 23.1GB. I will past the log contents below (the activity for 4/12/2010 is what I am inquiring about):

Not sure how much help I'll be, I know windows doesn't report the size accurately, just down to the tenths but I'm thinking it should fit on a BD25. In common settings/write the default writable media size for BD25 should be 23700MB which = 23.14453Gb. You might try bumping that size up to 23866Mb which is the MAX for a BD25.
When using Clone does Fab say it's not a writable BD25 blank disc or that you need a dual later 50GB disc?

Another option may be to rip the title in question as an iso then d/l ImgBurn (it's free) and use that to burn to a BD25 disc.
The problem may be with Fab or maybe the VSO burn engine, I'm not sure if Fab uses VSO to see the actual size of the blank disc and uses that to calculate the output but ImgBurn is much more dependable when it comes to detecting blank media and burning the disc.
