    Blu-ray Watermark

I just recently backed up a copy of Avatar using [removed] V7.0.4.5 and while playing the movie every so often the DVDFab.com logo appears in the upper lefthand corner of the video. What is up with that? Does that happen with the fully licensed version? When I copy DVDs it does not do that.

I think you meant DVDFab, not what you wrote.

The watermark is only added by the trial version of DVDFab (DVD backup will probably do it too soon). It will not show up in the licensed version. You will need to redo anything you did with the trial if you wish to remove the watermark.

Where in the trial documentation does it say that a watermark was to be applied? If I would have known that beforehand, I would not have wasted a blu-ray disk on this program.

While I understand your frustration, a BD-R disc is not so hugely expensive compared to the your original Blu-Ray purchase.

Even if there where such documentation, I'm afraid that most people wouldn't bother to read it.

personally I read the forum before I downloaded anything. When I got the demo they didnt have the watermark. but reading the forums and doing a search you would have found out that there is a watermark on the bluray to bluray. Right now if you went to newegg.com you could get TDK 50gb for 9.98 and free newegg save shipping.

Complication is right though the price of a blank bluray is cheaper than the initial bluray purchase.

            jbebout,
I suppose you have done some software trials before, or even if you've never done any trial, you should take a wild guess that purpose of a trial to try if it works for you, for your machine configuration, your goals and objectives.
Trial is not an opportunity to very quickly, within 30 days, back up all you video collection for free.
If you tried to back up movie and burn disc (obviously it worked just fine for you - you have satisfactory result, except the watermark, of course), and software meets your expectations - just buy it and enjoy. Consider "wasted" BR as a part of investment.

              watermark on registered version

I have a purchased version of DVDFab (Platinum since ver 5). I did my first Blu-ray disk of Avatar (worked!), but there is a watermark on the movie. How come that is showing up on a registered version? I think I was using 7.04. It's a shame since it takes 6 hrs to encode to BD25.

You do have a trial of Blu-ray part. You have registered DVD to DVD and DVD to Mobile part.
