Problem with BD50 to BD25 compression.

Trying to compress Masters of Horror Vol 1 to BD25. The first 2 times I start DVDFab stated no compression needed from 41GB to 25GB began ripping at 30MB per sec. After choosing BD 25 again(already defaulted to BD25) DVDFab started compression. Transfer dropped to 0.03MB per sec(for real-stopped estimating finish time afte 30+hours) then after about 5 minutes transfer rate shoots up to 30+MB finishes in about 20 minutes and ImgBurn creates ISO at 41GB. Did this twice from ISO saved on hard drive and once from original disc. Posting log data.

    more bugs on 7.0.5.8b

So after playing around with a few other Blu-Rays I found that on Full Disc BD50 to BD25 if I don't manually change the setting(defaulted at BD25) to BD50 from BD 25 then back to BD25 a few times the process will about 75% of the time just make a clone of the original disc stating that no compression is needed. If I click the sttings back and forth a few times it starts compression.

Also on the Lovely Bones, when compression starts, sometimes the first file is one that is reencoded to 17484 kbps. Sometimes this file is skipped and the next file that reencodes at 35859 kbps becomes the first file reencoded. I've reproduced this 3 times by starting and stopping the process.

Next on CoreAVC. When choosing CoreAVC, after the program is shut down, on restart encoder is reverted to software and Core AVC has to be rechosen. Will only work if you don't restart the program after changing from software decoder to CoreAVC.

I also confirmed, that for me, not being able start the process with a saved to hard disk ISO as the source for BD50 to BD25 Full Disc was fixed on 7.0.5.8 from 7.0.5.5

I am having the same problem. With version 7.0.5.8b, I can now start the process of full disc 50gb to 25gb without it crashing, but, it will only compress the video down to around 33gb. It did the first one I tried with no problem, but hasn't worked for any of the others. I am ripping straight from my hdd. I will try and manually change the settings a couple times and see if that does anything.

I'm getting the too big of a file also. Was compressing Akira to BD 25. PC crashed sometime around 4-6a this morning while I was sleeping. Lost 14+ hours of work : ( Checked the Full Disc temp file and size of unfinished Akira was 27GB. I thinj I' going to throw together another rig from spare part to do the BD50 to BD25. 18+ hours is long time to not use my computer at a time. I figure I can experiment and see how E2180 2.0GHz with a GeForece 8500GT with CUDA compares to a E7500 and Radeon HD 5770 without CUDA. It's weird that An Education came out fine but have had no success with any of the others I've tried.
