    Interleaved sources

It is pretty rare for movies but common with television shows on Blu-Ray to be interleaved. DvdFab says it cannot compress interleaved sources. Is this a deal stopper forever on interleaved sources or is there something being developed to solve this problem? Also, there may be a work around that I have not researched. Help anyone?

    drobo,
you are correct, it's rarely happened with movie unless movie purely re-mastered. "Interleaved" content DVDFab referring to is nothing but 1080i upconvert. And this upconvert is done outside of standard and out of compliance. There are ways to compress, or rather re-master that content using sophisticated expensive BR mastering programs (Sonic for an example). Some of them could be processed using set of freeware... But for this you should go to a more "generic" forums like videohelp or something. We're DVDFab forum...
