    From Hell Blu Ray

    Something fishy?

V7040 took 22 minutes to copy the main movie.

V7058b took 45 minutes to copy the main movie.

VLC media player could NOT play the m2ts file created by V7058b, saying it cannot play "undf" video type.

    Something is not right here...

Have you tried using CyberLink PowerDVD on playback?

No, I have not tried powerDVD.

VLC always played the stream file just fine with 7040. I just think it's fishy.

      You don't think?

If VLC will not play it then there is a problem.

I think so too. I have reverted back to 7040. I do not want to make another coaster.

EDIT: but to be fair, I have not tried the 7058b copy on my samsung blu ray player.

Ok, V7060 takes about 20 mins for me to copy the main movie only.

VLC STILL cannot play the m2ts file. This time though, VLC doesn't complain, it just doesn't play anything (just sits there).

Not sure if this means anything.

The latest version of VLC is 1.0.5 is this what you are using.?
With 1.1.6 to be released soon.
The web site mentions problems with blu-ray disc but I did not take time to read it all.
