Backup of Star Trek Episodes Disk not working

I have now tried the new release with this disk.
Star Trek The Original Series Season 1 Disk 1

the same problem occurs when watching it from an ISO backup on my comnputer using powerdvd for bluray.

when playing title 0 the movie hangs at 47 seconds and powerdvd stops responding. I have to kill the process. however, when I restart powerdvd the movie continues playing from the 47 second mark and keeps playing.

I am running a dell xps9000 windows 7 professional computer with 9 gig of memory and an intel 17core cpu with an nvidia gt220 video card.

I am attaching the latest logs.

    please advise thanks.

    Hi pilot57,

Please disable DXVA decoder (choose software decoder in A/V codec settings) to see the result.

    Best Regards,

      Disabling DXVA

      Fengtao,
thanks for getting back to me. I will disable DXVA and reset it to software this evening and try it again.

I am backing the disk up directly to a compressed ISO. Should I stay with this or change my method?

It's not directly to compressed ISO, it's output to folder at first, then folder to ISO.

Please stop it, and change codec, then try again.

          Fentao,
just so I am very clear on the steps (I work in IT, sorry)

set codec to software for decode and encode
          backup to folder structure bd50->bd25
create ISO from folder structure that was created

          is this correct.

and thanks for the quick response.

              another try at it

              Fentao,
I have started at the very simple level.
I backed up the disk to a folder structure without compression BD50. using the "software" setting for both decode and encode.

I then used IMGBURN to create an ISO of it.

I then mounted the ISO using dvdfab virtual drive software 1.1.0.9

the 3 episode (title 0) plays until 47 seconds. (never tried this before on the uncompressed backup),
the movie hangs, I can close powerdvd, then reopen it. the movie starts at 1 minute 9 seconds and keeps playing. I can then rewind the movie back to 40 seconds and it will then play straight thru without stopping.

seems the hang only happens when you start the movie from the beginning, which I have tried several times.

              here are the logs(very small)

I don't know if this will help but you drive has a firmware update you will find it here http://www.firmwarehq.com/download_1..._SB00.exe.html

NOTE: if you do not know how to flash your drive do not attempt it, it will render your drive useless.

                  CBR929,
thanks for the suggestion, however, I am backing up a blu ray and this drive is not a blu ray drive, it happen to be the default selection.

                      Fentao,
I opened dvdfab and pointed it to the folder structure I had backedup, then selected "main Movie" option. I then selected title 0 (which is having the problem) the preview was able to play the movie without hanging.

I am going to try to backup just that title to a folder structure then to iso to see what happens.

                        several other tests

                        Fentao,

I have backuped up just the title using "main Movie" compress to bd25, had dvdfab create an iso at the same time using the VSO engine. I was able to view the episode without any hanging.

i also tried creating an iso from the full disc folder structure using the VSO engine, did not work, episode still hung at 47 seconds

seems the problem occurs only when backing up the full disc.

here are the logs from the single episode backup

                          Fengtao,
I have been away and just started working on this again. I have discovered several things.
First if I burn the ISO to a blu ray bd-R 6x version 1.3 format it will work in my player.
second, I found yesterday that if I compress the disc to a hard disk folder and then copy the AACS folder from the original, then burn it to the 4x discs I have been using (version 1.2) the disc works in my player but not on my powerdvd software.
I tried to backup the disc without removing the AACS folder, but it still isn't copied.

                          I am now using 7.0.7.5b

                          thanks
