BD25 backup does not work in stand alone player

I have tried several different star trek season 1 and season 2 disks. I have compressed them and created ISO files on my hard drive. ( all except season 1 disk1 - TOS which still does not work properly.).

I can mount these iso's using dvdfab virtual drive and they play perfectly.
however, I have tried many different sets of settings to burn the blu ray disk.
none of them can be played on my panasonc bd60 player.

What type of blank discs are you using and what model Blu-Ray player are you using that isn't working. I have a LG BD390 player and I have found switching to another brand of discs can fix the problem.

I don't know much about memorex BD discs, but the dvd dual layer discs by them were terrible and wouldn't play in many dvd players. Try a different BD disc. Search the web for compatible discs for your burner also. My pioneer 205 works perfect with philips 04 BD25 discs which are sold as vinpower r04's. Never had a problem burning or playing.
            It's most likely the discs.

attempted iso burn of compressed disk on new media

I have tried to compress the disc and burn it to a sony bd-re using nero and imgburn. the same issue still occurs, the player doesn't recognize the disc as a bluray

              any suggestions?

If you got someone with different Blu-Ray Player try those disks in their player. It is possible that your player don't like Backup Disks. I myself stop using Memorex long time ago I switch to VERBATIM and never had problem with this brand.

                  different player

I will find someone with a bd player, however I think this is more detailed than that. my player will play a dvd5 or dvd9 bluray backup just not a compressed 25gb backup.

Don't forget that the DVD and BD are different and it is possible That is not supporting the BD backups. Another thing like My DVD (Not BD Player) don't like DVD-R but plays good DVD+R. Same good be with BD player Can Play good DVD media even is back as Blu-Ray but not BD media.

But the best way is to check on different BD player.
