You are permitted to make personal back ups of DVDs and Blu-rays that you own once you no longer own that disc then you are not permitted to keep the back up as well. That even means if you give the disc away as gift and Depending on where you live it may be different but give the Observance of copy right laws a read or the link in post #14 but this thread is closed for the safety of forum
