Not to HiJack the thread, but I'm having the exact same problem. I launch DVDFab 7.0.7.0 and switch to BluRay to BluRay. The program defaults to my BluRay Drive and the target, and says to insert a disc or choose blu-ray folder/image. If I browser to the drive and pick it, it either scans for ever (Disc was National Treasure) or eventually finished (Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull).

On the later, when I select Start (Ripping BD50 to hardrive). I get a warning
"There is no need to copy Full Disc between folder without compression" "Do you want to continue?" if I pick yes, the rip ends very quickly, and nothing is in the target folder.

    The logs have very little:

    Code:
    DVDFab 7.0.7.0 (2010/06/17 23:12:51)

     0m 00.14s: option dvd2dvd 1 dvd2mobile 1 bluray2bluray 1 bd2mobile 1 file2mobile 1 filemover 1
     7m 42.27s: got bdmv
     8m 19.98s: got bdmv
     8m 57.97s: got extended bdinfo
Any suggestions on how to further troubleshoot this would be great.

123 HWS_FAILED_FINISHING 23 // Write failed at the end of the media (finalization is not complete)
First off your drive is in PIO mode, Open Fab Click the Green top right > General > make sure Check for DMA Automatically is Checked and also Click the Reset DMA to the right and restart.
Second your burning to fast using crap media sorry slow your burn speed to 4x and I would also suggest using ImgBurn as your burn engine you will find it here with a tutorial on how to set it up http://forum.dvdfab.com/showthread.php?t=33
Also if the disc did not finalize you may try to finalize it DVDFab Finalize a disc

Right click on the Fab Icon >
                Left click Properties >
                Left click Find Target >
                Left click PcSetup.exe >
Left click on the + in front of Patin-Couffin driver >
Now left click once to select your burner >
Right click on the selected burner >
Navigate to the bottom of the dropdown to Finalize the media

Even if it's a little thing, do something for those who have need of help, something for which you get no pay but the privilege of doing it.

                  Batman begins too

I am having the same (I think) problem with Batman Begins.

I put the disk in, DVDFab recognizes it and pops up the window scanning, but just keeps scanning and scanning. Interestly, I can hit the button on the drive and eject the disk, DVDFab is unphased, keeps right on scanning.

Other DVDs and other Blu-Rays have worked. I've ensure the drive is doing DMA... and I've cleaned the disk, the shiny side of the disk looks good.

Attempts to cancel the scan are usually ignored, but when it does cancel, a window pops up for me to enter my registration data - I'm registered way into 2012. So something is confused.

I don't know how to get the logs, if that is of interest, please explain how.

                  thanks Larry
