Update on Blu-ray Two Pass Hangs with CUDA?

    Hey all,

Any updates on when we should expect a fix for the MP4 2 pass issue for Blu-ray to resolve the hangs? Software conversion works but is SLLLLLLLOOOOOWWWWW. I am also seeing an issue with MKV conversions as well.

Let me know. I am still on 7.0.7.0 and not any BETAs. Will install a BETA if one of them has a fix.

    Jim
Specs: P8Z77-V PRO/tbolt, Core i7-3770K, GTx 560, 16 gig etc., Terabytes and more Terabytes, SSDs too

Hello, well I would try the newest beta(7.0.7.9) anyways if I were you. And fyi if you're having issues with dvd to mobile, blu ray to mobile, etc. the corresponding forum for that will get you help faster than the blu ray to blu ray forum. Anyways, if you could post the internal, process, and burn logs for DVDFab we can look at it further. If you need help on where to find them, read through the stickies. Also, what are your pc specs?

Why you are so fixed on 2-pass? Please tell me what in 1-pass you didn't like (quality wise)? It works perfect with excellent result, even on big screen. CUDA works on 1-pass flawlessly. I personally don't even checking if 2-pass fixed or not. IMO, with results produced by 1-pass, 2-pass is a waste of time. I would agree on one thing though, 2-pass reduces A/V sync problems down to almost nil even with poorly mastered content (as long as it indexed right). Besides that.... nothing would make me so desperate.

IPopov: Hmm weird. What movie did you try to convert? Maybe I'll try it out also to see what happens.

so.... ok - my specs should now be below. I *am* using the MP4 1 pass now, however, I am thinking that the best format given all of the bleeping media players I've gone through (as I'm too lazy to just hook a PC to my A/V system) is MKV given it's flexibilities with the container. That I cannot change to 1 pass obviously. All the rips I've tried fail with MKV. Dark Knight, 88 Minutes, Valkyrie, Alice in Wonderland etc.

Anyways - here's a log for MKV on Brooklyn's Finest
