    Fast forward glitch with compression

Is anything being done to address the problem with Blu-ray compressed copies: fast forward or reverse hangs the disc or at best is very jerky. Does this happen on all brands of BR players (both my Sony's do it). Compressed discs play fine with PowerDVD 10 on computers, however.

I have a panasonic and magnavox and they both hang and sometimes lock up when fastforwarding or rewinding.

i brought this up a few weeks ago, jumped through all the hoops they asked me to, and then the thread got abandoned.

there were others who had the same problem

search for 'fast firward' (yes i spelled it wrong).

my solution is to use fab to create an iso (remove protection) - full disk 50g - and then use a program i can't mention to compress it.
      dow.

I had to switch to the unnamed program as well. Some movies hung while fast forwarding. Panasonic DMP-BD30, DMP-BD60, and DMP-BD85

I agree with "dow", on long movies (2+ hrs) use Fab and Imgburn with a 50 gig disc

I was having the same issue, until I changed my A/V Codec setting from DXVA to Software. Last 6 bluray disc I've compressed to BD-R 25GB have worked flawlessly.

Is it me or is this a major program flaw that is seemingly being ignored?

Recently purchased the program and I am having the same problem with compressed disks on my new Panny DMP-BD85K.

Shame on me for not noticing this thread before I spent my hard earned money.

                      Hi,

i am also having this problem.
Tried the Dark Night and other movies as well.
Trying to compress to a BD-25 with DST-MA. All other audio options unchecked.
i switched to my A/V Codec setting from DXVA to Software but it did not work.
I have the latest version 7.0.9.0
                      Anything else i can try?

bigmoviebuff: You do not have the latest version, as the latest version is 7.0.9.3 and the latest beta version is 7.5.0.6. Update and try again and if it still doesn't work, post your DVDFab logs as directed in the "Help Us Help You" sticky.
