Bruce Springsteen London Calling BR not getting DD +

HI, I have been successful with my other BR rips (all 3 of them), but for some reason cannot get the option for the DD + track in the audio for my BS London Calling Live in Hyde Park BR.
It plays fine thru my PowerDVD but when I try to rip main movie (or even whole disk) I just get the DD core track.
    I have E5300, 4 gb Ram, 4X1tb HDD, Win 7 Ultimate,
any help or advice about this would be greatly appreciated, as I would prefer the DD + track over the DD or the PCM.
    Thanks in advance

Well, lets start with your BS London Calling Live in Hyde Park BR. As far I remember, that disc comes with LPCM and DD 5.1 640 Kbps audio streams. I'm guessing here, by DD+ you mean Dolby True HD.
    So:
    (1) LPCM is not compressible by DVDFab
    (2) DVDFab doesn't "upconvert" from DD core to True HD. This is more complicated process than just increasing bitrate.
    (3) DVDFab doesn't convert LPCM to Dolby True HD. DVDFab is not an audio converter.
I'm sorry if I burst your bubble, but I can offer you a hug.

Thanks for the reply, but I can confirm that Dolby Digital Plus is available, it has played through with PowerDVD10, and confirmed by my receiver.
There are three audio tracks listed on the main menu
      PCM 5.1
DD 5.1 (which when selected using PowerDVD 10 outputs as DD Plus)
      PCM 2.0
Confirming with MPC-HC filters it shows, the DD Plus track as 1540 kbps, and also a DD core track @ 640 kbps
so I know it's there, would just like to get it available as an option when ripping the BR with DVDFab.
      Thanks

Can you please scan your disc with BDInfo (if you don't have it, download and install this little free utility) and post report here. Thank you.

Thanks, tried to scan with BDInfo but it gave an incomplete scan "disc is copy protected or corrupted",
video and audio bitrates all showed 0
size and audio video codecs were displayed,
but again it says PCM 5.1 or DD 5.1,
so at this stage, with space not so much a premium on my HTPC
I will just rip the LPCM 5.1 track, thanks for trying anyway,
          cheers

if you have passkey installed on computer make sure it is running before you start BDinfo. If you not have passkey installed then install it as it free while in beta stages and can be located in the link below

Look mate, Thanks for trying to help but...your post # 2,
I didn't ask to upconvert or compress the LPCM I asked why didn't the DD Plus option come up in the audio tab section of DVDFab,
when I played it with PowerDVD 10, my amp lit up with "Dolby Digital Plus", so I asked a reasonable question,
then you come back with answers like I am idiot,
I have built 3 HTPC's that I designed and put together myself for their specific spaces and duties and they all bitstream DD, Dts, Dolby TrueHD, Dts HD-MA, and also process the PCM signal when required... so I know what are lossy codecs, what are lossless codecs and what are lossless compressed codecs, and I know how to use a BR ripping software like DVDFab.
It was a very specific question about whether or not there was a problem with DD Plus in DVDFab or with the disc.
So thanks for trying but I figured it out myself without needing a hug...

this must be a setting in DVDFab that is selected that should not be selected or a problem with your Blu-ray or a DVDFab problem. What you can try is to do this Blu-ray with pathplayer disabled and all audio selected with no compression but before you do that could you post the logs located in documents-dvdfab-log as if this a DVDFab problem then the developers would need the logs to locate problem. Don't forget you need to wait until DVDFab scans the Blu-ray completely before you start to rip the BD

Look, you might be a super experienced guy, but you have no idea how to handle video content, you have no idea how to retrieve media info, you have never heard of BDInfo or MediaInfo, you couldn't figure out how to use it with protected disc (thanks AGJ to give you a directions), you looking for audio stream that doesn't exist and blaming DVDFab for not seeing that.... etc. etc. You feel being treated like an idiot, because you're acting like one, and I will continue treating you like one until you stop acting as an idiot.
I DO HAVE that disc, and I know there is no DD+ audio on it, I mentioned it in my post, but you ignored it... I responded to you assuming you want to upconvert and/or convert LPCM track to DD... I assumed that because I DID NOT TREATED YOU AS AN IDIOT, but thought you know what you have on your disc. Sorry, I made a mistake.
BTW, do yourself a favor download this player, it will make you happier: http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/downlo...lassic-hc.html
Using PowerDVD (and pay for it) will keep you in that category.... I mean unfortunate ones.

I DO have BDInfo and Media Info and I use Mpc-HC within Media Browser to play my m2ts rips, PowerDVD 10 is another option I use to check audio streams,
so thanks but you have contributed nothing to this investigation,
I will do as AGJ suggests and I would kindly ask you to find someone else to offer meaningless and repetitive advice to.
                        Cheers

Well AGJ, the DD Plus has not been reproduced by PowerDVD, is not seen by BDInfo or Media Info, I tried with DVDFab "pathplayer" disabled, and all English Audio streams checked, and Remove HD Audio unchecked (as I always have set), so it must have been a one off weird DD Packet wrapping issue by PowerDVD.
Thanks for your input and as I already have the 5.1 LPCM ripped, you could close this thread.
Thanks again for your problem solving skills and advice.
                          Cheers
