I did some more experimentation. I think this has something to do with the license.
I was in the process of switching to another computer for ripping and I had installed DVDFab on that new computer, which worked fine when I was using it in the "trial" mode. However, after register the new computer with my license, three things happened:
1) The DVDFab that's installed on my older computer became unregistered.
2) The DVDFab that's installed on the new computer became registered.
3) Neither computer was able to rip the blu-ray movies successfully anymore.
I tried to contact DVDFab to let them know about my situation, but so far, they have not responsive.
