This seems to be hardware independent. Have completely uninstalled DVDFab, cleaned registry, reinstalled. Tried this on a couple of computers, same result.
    Tried versions:
    7.0.7.0
    7.0.8.2
    7.0.8.5b
    All with exactly same result.

Normally when I experience crash in "full disc" I try "Main Movie" and that usually works.
Since these are episodes, there is no "Main Movie", just 8 episodes.
I would do a "Split on 2 BDs" (like with DVD), but this option is not available in BD to BD.
(I don't want to make 8 BDs or DVDs...)

    Suggestions?

    Thanks.

Well, I respond to my own post (since no one else did).
I continued running "experiments" with the same master (50GB) rip.
Continued uninstalling, reinstalling various versions, trying different computers, etc.
Finally I did get a completed (no crash) compress to BD25.

A possible culprit of my initial failures: on rip, I asked DVDFab to create an ISO file. I use ImgBurn, so after rip to folder DVDFab opens ImgBurn, ImgBurn creates the ISO file. It is possible that something got corrupted in the process of ImgBurn creating the ISO file. I think all my prior failures were using the BD50 ISO file for compression. When instead I used "folders and files", compression to BD25 proceeded without a crash. But this is only a guess.

Are there known conditions in which ImgBurn will create an error upon ISO file creation? (I'll wait for a while for some answers to this question on this thread, perhaps nobody will see the question, if no answers I will start a new thread with this question).

    Here is another major question:
I have experienced various levels of instability with BD to BD mode (I have never experienced any instability with DVD to DVD mode). Part of this BD to BD instability may be the "experimental" nature of the BD to BD process (bugs in DVDFab?). Part of this instability may be due to hardware (BD drive, HDD, defective disc). And part of this instability may be due to what software is installed on a computer (registry problems, etc.). I make a living using computers, so I (in my line of expertise) I have about 20 years experience. I can say with a high level of confidence that the hardware on my computers is working OK and not creating glitches. I also have noticed that none of the crash problems I had with DVDFab were caused by bad BD media (as eventaully I was able to complete the job. I now suspect that "funky" installations, software, registry entries, etc. are causing instability.
    The question:
Is a tutorial (or links) available for "How to prep and clean a computer for DVDFab BD to BD use" in order to avoid instability?

I will start a new thread for this topic.

    Thanks,

    ccris
