    Batman: The Dark Knight

Hello all! This is my first post so i'll try to include all the relevant information that I can/have. Last night I re-encoded batman the dark knight from bd50 > bd25. The encodling and ripping took about 2 hours on my core i7 (12GB RAM). The burning process went fine and I burnt it on a bd-re (2x) to make sure it all turned out well before I burnt it on a bd-r. The movie looks fantastic but its real jerky as far as the frame rate. I live in the states and selected R1 when I ripped the movie. Anybody know why the movie still suffers from framerate issues? Thanks in advance for any/all help.

As gregiboy and agj would say

    Help Us Help You

If you are posting about an operational problem with one of the DVDFab products, you will improve the speed and accuracy of the response by providing some information in the very first post that will probably be needed.

First, make note of any error codes or messages that appear in popup boxes and put them in your post. Information on error codes that appear in the DVDFab UI are captured in one of the logs we request below.

DVDFab keeps logs of its activities that supply basic system information and can help pinpoint where and when an error happened and help pinpoint the cause. The default location for these logs on most Windows systems is:

    C:\Documents and Settings\your username\My Documents\DVDFab\Log

The logs are simple text files that can be opened with Windows Notepad. If the size exceeds the forum’s attachment size limit, you may need to delete older entries or copy and paste the relevant ones into a new file.

dvdfab_internal.log Attach for all problems. Time stamped, most recent at the bottom. Please edit to include only the most recent or relevant log session.

dvdfab_burn_vso.log Attach for all problems. The entries are time stamped with the most recent at the top.

dvdfab_burn_imgburn.log Attach if you have ImgBurn set as the burning engine and the problem concerns disc burning. Time stamped with the most recent at the bottom.

dvdfab_process.log Attach if DVDFab crashes and the crash report window does not come up or complete correctly or if internal error codes appear in the DVDFab window (“Task Failed…”). Time stamped, most recent at the bottom.

    Other Information:

Depending on the nature of the problem, it can help to know:
If this happens with all discs or just one
    Your operating system/CPU/memory configuration
If you are using external hard drives or optical drives
If you have made any recent changes to your OS or system hardware
If you have other DVD or BD software installed, particularly if recently added.

Posts with all the requested information will be answered first.

Have you tried to play your movie on a computer from file, not disc? Do you have same effect?
When playing on your computer, try this player: http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/downlo...lassic-hc.html
I would suggest to change your burning engine to ImgBurn. Here's tutorial:

Will windows media player classic play bluray files? I have it installed when I installed a codec pack a while back. I'll give it a try when I get home from work. I'll also try to setup imgburn to burn the bluray and report back.

Well, it's not "Windows" media player classic, it's just a Media Player Classic Home Cinema. It has nothing to do with Windows...
Yes, it will play BD. The copy you have, came with codec pack, isn't good because required outside codec. Please download and install the one I gave you. Please uninstall old one first. You have x64 system, so please download and install 64-bit version. When opening your movie, please navigate to your movie folder, NOT m2ts file: File ->Open DVD... ->Movie folder. (Although, it will play m2ts too, but you wouldn't see attributes - chapters, etc.)
Also, if you have no reason to keep that codec pack, I would recommend uninstall it. Codec packs are most common cause of misconversion...

Thanks for the pointers. I'll try that and see if the frame rate problem is still there. That way we can pinpoint if its the burn or the actual encode causing the problem. Thanks again.

I played the biggest stream file (main movie) and it still has the frame rate issue. Looks like they speed up then skip for a minute (repeat process). Should I try another blu ray movie to see if I get the same results?

You should not be playing the stream file anyway. You should be either playing the folder or an ISO, otherwise you are bound to have problems.

Try installing the newest beta you will find it here http://forum.dvdfab.com/showthread.php?t=7450 and do a test with it
Also your drive has a firmware update you will find it here http://www.firmwarehq.com/download_1...09EU2.EXE.html
NOTE: if you do not know how to flash your drive do not do it, it will render your drive useless and it will become a door stop

Ok I got it to play the folder in the classic media player x64 version and it still has framerate issues. I played it in my samsung 3d bluray player and the framerate was better but still very jerky. The ps3 it was way worse. I have LG bluray burner w/ the latest firmware. Im trying fear and loathing in las vegas now. It wont be downsampled, converted and burned until tomorrow. I'll keep you guys posted. Also one other question. Any way to get rid of the dvdfab watermark in the top left hand corner that pops up every so often?

                          Yeah, buy the product.

Once registered, it will no longer be encoded into the files.

I will def buy the product once I can get a perfect 1:1 copy w/o any framerate issues.
