ok so i crashed again, but this time it wento to 98% and actually looked like it finsihed but just didnt burn. could this be because i used dvdfab to burn and not Imgburn? should i use Imgburn for all burning, or has the new 8.0 version fixed that problem? heres my log....

Do not compress on the initial rip from the original BD disc.
This will take forever and wear the hell out of your burner
Initially, rip to your hdd with no compression and
then you should be able to compress and burn to a BD25 disc.

Since you haven't had a successful burn yet, you might want to add a 3rd step this time...rip again to the hdd, but this time compress.
Now check to see if the files play back from the hdd correctly with a software player and be certain that your file size does not exceed your target BD25 size.
It looks like you may have to adjust your size settings
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

What you wrote is a little confusing lol. Are you saying i should try this time buy ripping a Bluray to my hard drive at BD50, then use DVDFAB "again" to compress those files to BD25 and burn them? This attempt only took one hour to get that far, is that considered long? Also, like i said before, should i be using Imgburn to burn the files, or has the new 8.0 version fixed that problem.

Sorry that my comments were confusing, but your surmise is right on.
Your burn log is a mess and I'm not sure that you have any files intact at all, particularly with respect to the time involved, ie., less than an hour while compressing from the original BD disc.

Let's take it a step at a time.
Firstly, rip the original BD disc, uncompressed, to your hdd.
Ripping just the main title is fine, but do not compress.
Now, are the files intact?...able to playback from the hdd with a software player?

If this is a go, now try compressing to BD25, again, from your hdd to your hdd.
              Are these files intact also?

To answer another of your questions, yes I would definitely use Img.
I've been ripping BD discs for a few months with wonderful results, but I never burn and I always use Img, in particular, for .ISO conversion.
I generally rip to BD25 .ISO, but I have been using BD9 also.
I stopped using BD ---> Mobile as my media player was not able to see the subtitles in .MKV without additional 3rd party firmware
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

OK so, to just be clear, you are always ripping the compressed/uncompressed BD to your hdd from DVDfab as an ISO, and not as folders. Then you are using Imgburn to record those iso's made form dvdfab. I normally like to rip the full discs for the extras and whatnot.
                thx for your help also

No he not burn to BD disc as he uses ImgBurn to create iso file with DVDFab. DVDFab needs a burn engine in order to create iso and you have 3 choices and they are VSO, Nero or ImgBurn. maineman saves all iso to computer and then uses a media player to play them

Yes I always rip to my hdds, but I also rip BD files in file mode..."folders".
However, Img is my default burn engine so it's used with regular dvds for burning and such, and for manipulation of BD files, for eg., to .ISO format.
I have never burnt a BD disc.
