    Tdk bd-r dl 50gb

I just had a question about TDK BD-R DL 50GB these where imported from over sea's.Well...when i use clone or full disc it does burn to disc, but only will play on pc.My real question is do i have to set a layer break in imageburn's engine to get it to play in my LG surround and b-ray player.Ok when i use a OPTICAL QUANTUM bd-r 25gb,useing main movie option every thing is great.I have found a thread on just a dl dvd's none on blueray.i will be thankfull with any help

i understand what you are saying, but my problem is that the only differnce is brand and size of disc both are bd-r 25gb\50gb.if a 25gb br-r will play why wont a 50gb bd-r,its not bd-re,when most b-rays are about 40-45gb anyway my player will play them.

Some players might have an issue playing dual layer BDs, even though they play dual layer bd-roms just fine, especially if its an older player. You could try looking for a firmware update for your player and see if that helps, but there is a downside to updating the firmware also. It might possibly incorporate the new Cinavia protection that is only on one disc at the moment(The Losers), but will most likely be on more discs in the future.

Ok after my investigation my player LG LHB953 will play bd-r\bd-re and i don't belive it is that old i bought it new less than a year ago and is updated to its latest.my bd rom drive is a HL-DT-ST BD-RE WH10LS30 1.00 (F (ATA)
i have tried backing up multiple b-ray movies useing both modes i just wonder if my settings are set correctly, but keep in mind that no errors occur in dvdfab or imagburnand plays fine on pc.

Simple answer update your bluray to bluray from the 7.0 to the 8.0 version. In some cases some BD players wont play a movie made by BD to BD I learned the hard way. I have a PS3 and if I backed up any BDs in 7.0XXX versions and they were under 20gbs the PS3 wouldnt play them. But with the 8.0.X.X versions I havent had a problem yet. This also goes a long with 50gb discs some players wont play them. Like I said I havent had problems since 8.0.X.X
