    Whip It

    V8.0.0.8

Blu-ray never ends to analyze (you know, right after you insert it in, the first thing DVDFab does). Churns and churns and churns... Never ends.

Thought I would report it. Thanks.

I suspect the disc itself...at least for R1.
I did this BD disc awhile back and had no problems at all.

Please run through the list of usual suspects in the Tips link...below in my sig
and please clean the disc as suggested in #3, regardless of its appearance
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Ok, might be my setup here. I cannot open any blu rays now, all I get (in the log) are lines like this:

          "unit key not found 104"

          Ideas?

Ah yes. Another user's experience that reinforces why we recommend keeping some of the old installers. You just never know...

Glad you got it to work.

Yes. But I'd like to use the latest version though.

Any idea what "key units" are?

EDIT: 8.0.0.5 is what I am running, it can open the blu rays just fine also.

Yeah, will forward the problem to Fengtao for fixing. It looks like the latest betas have troubles with some keys.

That would be because the keys for Blu-ray are on the DVDFab server and does not matter what version of DVDFab you are using you will be able to do the Blu-ray's that are supported. If a bug was fixed that you want then you would need update but if not then no need to update if you not want to for Blu-ray anyway

AGJ, I am not sure what you are saying. Are you saying DVDFab server was down when I tried to backup the movie?

No, he's just saying it doesn't matter what version you use, DVDFab gets the keys from the server and you don't need to update every time there is a new beta, unless something you want is in the changelog.

ah ok, thanks for clarifying. I don't really agree though, some video glitches were fixed in beta versions (Percy Jackson's garbled video for example), and that was a benefit to me. But I understand what you guys are saying. I'll stick with 8.0.0.5 for now.

Than again, me testing the betas and reporting my issues can be a good thing for the dev. team.

                            Cheers!
