    BD50/25 to BD9/5

I backed up couple of Blu-ray movies to single and double layer DVD and it only playback on Sony Blu-ray players BDP-S1 and BDP-S500 and it doesn't work with LG BDP370 Blu-ray player.

Well, does not that mean there is something not quite right with the LG?

Have a look for a firmware upgrade for it.

It may not support playback of AVCHD.

I used to have the LG BD370 and I tried to watch a AVCHD disc on it once and it wouldn't play it either. I tried the same disc on my dad's Sony BDP-S350 and it played no problem. The 370 is suppose to be able to play this format, but it's probably VERY picky about it. I sold mine a few months back and got the LG BD390 and it's MUCH BETTER! It can play multiple types of video/audio files through USB & disc and it plays AVCHD (& .M2TS) discs too with no problems. The only thing I did notice was that when I did play the AVCHD disc, the player made a loud sound while reading the disc. (Presumably from having to spin the disc @ a higher rate to read it?)
