Difference between blu-ray full disc to ISO and clone to ISO?

    Hi

I want to archive my entire CD/DVD/Blu-Ray collection to a NAS.

What is the difference between selecting [blu-ray copy][full disc] and writing to ISO, and selecting [blu-ray copy][clone] and writing to ISO?

    P.

"Clone" is 1:1 exact copy. "Full disc" will copy BDMV folder then make ISO, the output file size is a little bit smaller, but takes longer time to copy.
DVDFab is the all-in-one software package for copying Blu-ray/DVD and converting video file.

      Ok, thank you.

I experimented, and I found that clone does not decrypt or remove any restrictions, while copy does.

"Clone" should remove all protections like "Full Disc".

How do you determine it doesn't decrypt?

I tried to open the ISO with MakeMKV and it reported it protected.
Maybe it is a problem with MakeMKV?

Anyway, good to know that clone also removes protection, since it is easier to use to make backups than using whole disc.

          Thank you.

Try mounting the cloned ISO using DVDFab virtual drive to see if you get same message from that program
