Blu-Ray Ripping no loss in quality

I hear arguments for formats Like ISO, BDMV.

What's the best way to rip with no loss in quality.

iso is the disc image...if you don't use compression, it will be lossless.

BDMV is the folder option...again, if you don't use compression there will be no loss.

Not sure where the "arguments" come from...but technically there is no difference between the two.



Now, if you're talking about conversion to mkv, mp4, avchd etc, there can be some debate.


What is your intention, to burn to disc? store on the hdd and play from media servers?

Blu ray to hdd to blu ray disc with no loss in quality

I want to store my blu ray movies in hard drive to watch them on my pc then burn them to a 50 GB blu ray disc, you know make a backup copy

iso is probably the route you want to take...you can load using fab's iso mount (I use Daemon tools to mount iso), and then play using a bluray software.

Then when you're ready burn a BD50, the iso easy. (use ImgBurn!)





EDIT: Bluray's take up an awful lot of space! consider Main Movie only...or converting to mkv or mp4. If space is no issue, then enjoy the BD50 size!
